Sika Black Jack Flashing Tape

Sika Black Jack Flashing Tape is a strong, self-adhesive flashing tape that combines a durable aluminium foil facing with a bitumen rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape forms a robust waterproof seal simply by pressing into place by hand, no heat gun or open flame is required, making it fast and safe to use on all types of roofing repair and flashing application. It bonds strongly to all common roofing materials including felt, metal, concrete, fibrous cement, tiles and masonry, and remains flexible across a wide temperature range. For best results on porous or dusty substrates, apply Everbuild Black Jack 902 Bitumen & Flashing Primer first.

Good to know

• Apply as soon as possible after installation of the new leadwork (do not leave new lead untreated)
• Particularly important where water flows directly from the lead onto tiles, bricks or stonework below
• Apply in dry conditions; allow the leadwork to be clean and dry before treatment
• One coat is sufficient; reapply if rain washes the treatment off before the lead has started to naturally patinate
• Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight
